380,000 Customer & Employee Details Leaked by Orange Group Hacker
Orange Group, a leading French telecommunications operator and digital service provider, has suffered a cyber-attack at their Orange Romania branch. A threat actor, who uses the moniker “Rey” and is a member of the HellCat ransomware group, claimed that the 6.5 GB of stolen data includes 380,000 unique email addresses, source code, invoices, contracts, customer, and employee information. After failing to extort the company, the hacker published the stolen information on a hacker forum.
In the past, the HellCat ransomware group has claimed attacks on Schneider Electric and Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica by targeting their Jira servers. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
