Over large parts of Southwest Louisiana, AT&T internet, wireless and phone service subscribers had experienced an outage. This outage had hindered the ability of emergency officials in Calcasieu and Beauregard parishes to receive emergency calls from landlines. This had led to them to rely on dispatchers from nearby parishes like Allen to manage Beauregard’s 911 calls, Allen's Sheriff Doug Hebert said. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
