The cable and internet provider Optimum experienced a widespread outage on Monday evening in the Metro New York area. The outage started at around 8 p.m. and by 9 p.m., over 9,700 people were reporting an outage in their Optimum service.
There were 35-minute wait times for customers calling Optimum customer service. Irate customers were quick to complain on social media about how their internet and cable provider’s outage was affecting them adversely. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
