2 Data Breaches to Cost Cash App up to $15 Million in Payouts
Two data breaches are slated to cost Cash App up to $15 million in class action settlement payouts. Eligible Cash App users can now file a claim and could receive up to $2,500.
In 2021, an ex-staffer's actions and access to customer information resulted in 8.2 million Cash App customers' sensitive personal information being published online. This was followed by another data breach in 2023.
