LANWatch - Packet Monitoring and Analysis, Developed by Experts
LANWatch® 7.0 is a software-based network packet analyzer. Easy to install and use, it monitors traffic in real time
and displays a wide range of packet statistics. LANWatch® quickly identifies network problems so you can keep networks
running at peak performance. It easily monitors, examines and verifies network protocols in both hexadecimal
and formatted views. LANWatch was first developed by FTP Software, makers of one of the first TCP/IP stacks for the PC
platform. The LANWatch® 7.0 GUI is now more intuitive and its updated documentation speeds comprehension.
LANWatch®'’s deep-level DICOM parsing makes it an ideal tool for verifying HIPAA compliance.
A menu-based installation recognizes existing driver configurations and gets LANWatch® running quickly. Pull-down menus make it easy to navigate through the LANWatch® screens and access critical network data, and on-line help puts comprehensive reference information at your fingertips. Task-oriented documentation enables quick deployment and ease of use.
Extensive filters and protocol decoders
With over 400 filters, LANWatch makes it easy to isolate network traffic based on protocol type, station address, data string, time stamp, and more. LANWatch decodes 78 leading protocols including DICOM, PPTP, TCP/IP, SNA, DECnet, AppleTalk, and others used by Novell NetWare, Microsoft LAN Manager, and Banyan VINES. Protocols are color-coded for easy recognition, and programming libraries are provided for custom protocol support.
Software-based, easily portable to remote sites
LANWatch is software-based and requires no special hardware or network
modifications. Load LANWatch on your laptop for convenient analysis and
troubleshooting at remote sites.
